day 8 | slice of life challenge

2002

As I was scrolling through photos, I noticed this one. Whenever I look at it, I remember how Jim's mom drove from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Brown's Flat, New Brunswick for Ethan's dedication. She lived with cancer and extreme pain for many years. Flying was hard for her so she opted for travelling in a car. With a small swimming tube beneath her to help with the bumps on the road, she made a way to be with her Canadian family. Grandma D was strong, brave and full of love.

  1. Memories preserved in snapshots are wonderful. The quote you left for Linda is appropriate here. "A good snapshot stops a moment from running away." Eudora Welty Have a great day!
