Coffee for Your Heart | Heart & Tummy Filling Recipe

With another writing prompt from Holley Gerth, here is one of our favorite recipes from an old Kraft magazine. It is very simple (has to be for me) and delicious!

Roasted Red Potatoes with Bacon & Cheese

1/2 cup Kraft Ranch Dressing (Renee is my favorite.)
1/2 cup Kraft 4 Cheese Italiano Shreds (Mozzarella works.)
1/2 cup Bacon Bits (Real bacon is best.)
2 lbs (about 6 cups) small red potatoes, quartered
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (I skip the parsley.)

Preheat oven to 350. Mix dressing, cheese and bacon in large bowl. Add potatoes, toss lightly.

Spoon into lightly greased 13 x 9 baking dish; cover with tin foil.

Bake 40 min. Remove foil; bake an additional 15 min or until potatoes are tender.

Sprinkle with parsley.

Coffee for Your Heart | A Loving Question

In her book, Growing Friendships, Tracy Klehn writes:

"Lord, I need your help to do the loving thing...I confess that oftentimes I can get caught up in who is right and who is wrong...when you are calling me to look at the real question, "What is the loving thing to do?" Show me when it is grace you want me to extend and show me when it is truth. Help me work out differences with a heart that is humble and honest. Help me take responsibility when I have wounded another with my attitude, words, or actions. Help me extend forgiveness...keeping in mind all that you have forgiven me for."

What a beautiful question to remember to ask ourselves!

      Lord, what is the loving thing to do?

Coffee for Your Heart | Isaiah 41:10

I am so thankful that the Bible doesn't say this -

Be afraid for I am not with you. Be dismayed for I am not your God. I will not strengthen you. I will not help you. I will push you down with my victorious right hand.

In Isaiah 41:10, it says -

Don't be afraid for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. 

You are with me so I don't need to be afraid. I won't worry because You are my God. You will strengthen me and help me. You will hold me up for You are God!
