During his years as a full-time song evangelist, Dad was blessed to serve with many ministers. Rev. R. H. Nicholson was an evangelist who was also an artist. As Dad would play and sing, Rev. Nicholson would sketch with chalk to help share the message about Jesus. Someone would take it home at the end of the service. 

Rev. R. H. Nicholson was a well-known New Brunswick artist. His oil and watercolor paintings of wildlife and logging are familiar to many. Mrs. Jean Elizabeth Irving wrote a beautiful book about his life, and there is a display of his work at Kingswood University.

Recently, Dad told me that he bought this accordion for $150. He said they were around $400 at the time, but it had a hole so he was able to get it for a better price. Pointing to the spot on the photo, he explained how he fixed it with some tape. I love to hear the stories of how God provided for my parents after calling Dad into full-time ministry.
