Three random thoughts -
1. When it comes to a butter dish, I don't like when someone scrapes the extra from their knife on the side.
2. I'm not sure why Facebook's marketplace has a sold category in its feed. Why do we want to see what we missed?
3. On the way to Vancouver from Montreal, headphones were handed out on the plane. On the way home from Vancouver to Montreal, there was a fee. Both flights were with Air Canada. Why was it different?

Three Disney memories from my childhood -
1. "Snow White" was my first movie in a theatre. My sister was with me in Dartmouth.
2. I used to sing and perform to Disney records in the living room. There was an old microphone in the drawer of the coffee table and I would sing into it in front of the large mirror over the couch.
3. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights.

Over the past year, there are things our Trites family has done to stay connected near and far.
1. a group text with the six cousins
2. Friday girls' nights at Mom's which has turned into Saturday thrifting trips
3. a private Facebook group where we share old photos and more
I am so grateful for my family.

When I stopped in for a visit after school, Dad had a piece of paper in his hand and said, "Do you have your hand control handy?" He was curious if my phone would bring up two interesting words that he already knew the meaning of and another that he had just heard in an old movie.
1. sloven
2. staddle
3. pixilated
It took some searching to find as much as Dad knew about the words, and with Dad, there is always a wonderful story. Did you know a staddle, as Dad uses it, is something connected more with the Maritimes?

Three little things to remember about the train ride -
1. Dad fell asleep waiting in the train station.
2. On a train bound for Halifax, Mom was a little worried they wouldn't remember to let them off in Sackville. It was cute. (When I saw the boarded up train station where we were picking them up, I almost wondered myself!)
3. They didn't sit together on the train, both choosing to sit by a window. They were across the aisle from each other. When the attendant asked, Mom and Dad assured him that they still liked each other, and have been in love for 70 years.

How can it be 24 degrees on November 6th?
(Crandall's basketball game was stopped because of the humidity and wet floors.)
Is it too early to decorate for Christmas?
(It isn't and I did.)
How is tomorrow Monday again?
(Is time going faster as I age?)

Some good changes in school since 2020 -
At the end of the day, we still meet parents at the door closest to our classroom.
Many meetings are still done virtually.
We still have hand sanitizer in every classroom.

Where are they now?
Annie is in grad school. She is studying to be an audiologist at Dalhousie University.
Eliza is in Architecture & Planning at Dalhousie University. She is going to be an architect.
Ethan is in kinesiology, with a minor in history, at Crandall University. He wants to be a teacher.
(Pearl is still in kindergarten.)
