Sometimes

I sill haven't shared her sweet song about
feelings with my kindergarteners,
but I can imagine them giggling
over the underwear part!

A couple summer ago, it was my goal to learn to play the ukulele. Singing and dancing with the ukulele brings so much joy to our classroom every day!

Song | Three Little Birds

In the mornings, my students share how they are feeling.
Then they sing and dance as I play this song on the ukulele.
Kindergarteners are optimistic!

Slice of Life | Counting Plastic Bags

Our school is collecting plastic bags to be reused and recycled.
In my class, we changed the words to a song to help us count
and spread the word. I like how AB's little finger shows up as she
films it and I get a kick out of XG's comment at the end!

I started learning how to play the ukulele over the summer.

I play "So Glad I'm Here" with my class every morning now.

I share how I feel a little nervous and have to be brave to play in front of them.

It's something else that music teaches us.

Three Ways to get a Ukulele
  1. Buy a new one.
  2. Borrow one from the music teacher for the summer.
  3. Put a ukulele alert on your Kijiji account and find one for $20!

A summer goal is to learn how to play the ukulele.
I borrowed one from school and Youtube is my teacher!
