Three simple things I enjoy -
I really enjoyed the documentary series, Encore, on Disney+. It follows people who go back to perform their high school musical with professional directors. The cast of "Anything Goes" from 1975 was my favorite episode and while they were all wonderful, Adam Wachter was my favorite musical director.
Rossano's makes the best barbecue chicken nachos around here!
I've realized that headphones are a treat! I use whatever headphones are left behind (one ear works) or free (from company giveaways), and I can once again watch a show when I'm falling asleep. (Jim is a tv-off-blinds-down-kind-of-person!)

a few of my favorite things | Electrolux Storage Box
In our classroom, we call them footstools but they were storage boxes for vacuums in the 1960's. They are one of my favorite things to have in the room. They provide cozy places to sit and a place to store materials. People often ask, "Where do you keep all your stuff?" And I lift a lid. During Play Workshop, students have easy access to get what they need and clean up is easy.
As a young girl, I remember Grammie Trites keeping her Electrolux vacuum inside one. Today I have one that belonged to Aunt Carole, and I have picked up four more through garage sales and Kijiji.

When we were expecting Annie in 1998, I knew I didn't want the typical diaper bag with cute things like teddy bears. Roots was our favorite store back then, and we found the perfect bag. Twenty years and three babies later, I still use it.

a few of my favorite things | Burt's Bees
I love products by Burt's Bees! It all started with lip balm. When we were first married, I found some in my Christmas stocking from Jim's mom. Since then, we've always had a tube around. (I remember receiving more lip balm on another trip home to Michigan. I didn't notice that Jim's mom had purchased the Lifeguard's Choice...until Jim told me I was walking around his grandparents' house with white lips! Oops!) To help pinch pennies, I use my other Burt's Bees sparingly. My favorite is the Almond and Milk Hand Cream. I put lotion on my dry hands all day long, but this cream is the most soothing.

2. Burt's Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream - It has a nutty almond scent and makes dry hands feel good again.
3. Sharpie Extra Fine in black ink - It's the right marker for almost everything.
4. Strawberries - What could be better than fresh strawberries?
5. Crayola Erasable Pencil Crayons - When you like to add color to your journal, note, or lesson plan, they are the perfect pencil crayon. They allow you to change your mind!

The movie, The Princess Bride, is a longtime favorite.
It's a beloved classic fairytale filled with adventure, wit and love.
When we were married, we had the song, Storybook Love,
played in the background on our wedding video.
There is an "as you wish" story from when
Jim and I first started dating. Sweet memories.
