Every school year, we make a chart for sharing. 

We do it together as we notice situations. 

We talk about it, problem solve it, model it, and practice it.

When problems arise, they can then refer to the chart if they need to remember a strategy.

I think one of the best things they learn is that it is okay to say, "I'm not finished with it yet." They also learn to be more flexible and patient when they are the one who needs to wait.

As the saying goes, all we really need to know we learned in kindergarten!
