family music 158

It was the first car my parents ever owned. It was around $800, and Grampie Trites helped them purchase it. After two weeks of owning the '52 Chevy, they were driving home from Beulah with Grammie Landers and it broke down. The engine went. After repairs, Dad traded it in for a truck which he needed for carrying the Hammond organ to camp meetings and revival services.

In this picture, Dad and Aunt Gloria had driven back on the Catamount Road to find a Christmas tree. He can't remember the year, but it was sometime between '56 and '59.
