something I read | about carpet

I was reading a a sweet post about family
and priorities by Ruth Ayres.

A favorite sentence was -

"I'm learning to be grateful for the carpet that is so old
that it doesn't matter if there is a spill."

We have that carpet in our house.

I realize I can be grateful for it.
