Slice of Life Challenge 6 | beyond Camp Taconic

At the end of the summer, Jim and some of the other guys stayed another week while the rest of us headed home. It was during that last week, Jim said to the others, "I'm going to marry Loralee." I had no idea that he had thought it or said it. I was dating someone from college, but I guess Jim already knew that wasn't meant to be. I tease him that he didn't wait around for me as he still went on dates that fall and it seemed as if someone always liked Jim!

Seven months after Camp Taconic, we started dating. I knew then what that "something" was when we held hands during prayer a year before. He was the one. We were married by the end of the year.

    1. Thank you for reading along, Linda. Our kids have heard it here and there, but as I was writing this week, I was thinking it will be great for them to have and read through sometime.

  8. I like how you have taken a focus for this writing challenge. This way, collecting bits by bits, you have a beautiful story recorded in writing and pictures. Like MIchelle, I find this slice is a sweet finale of Camp Taconic stories.
