Today I am reading a book and it has nothing to do with teaching.
I read in the car on the way to Eliza's volleyball tournament.
I read during warm-ups.
I read at the table.
I read between matches.
I read during time-outs.
I read during time-outs.
Sometimes I even squeezed a sentence in before a serve.
I read after they won the gold medal.
I read while walking to the car.
I read on the way home.
And I'm going to go read the last chapters in bed.
Heavenly.

Finding joy in the little and big moments of life!
Okay, now I am curious...what book?!? I am reading The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin and I am smitten. Your book must be gooooood if you keep picking it up in these stolen moments of reading time.

DeleteI think I would have been excited to read any book with a story...It had been too long! It was a book I found at my mom's house. Through Every Storm by Sharlene MacLaren...Turns out she is a retired teacher.
I need to check out the book you are reading! (I love the word "smitten"!)
OH! I am dying to know what you are reading! That really isn't fair! :)
ReplyDeleteHa-ha! I forgot about all you bookworms and how you would want to know the title!
DeleteSee above... ;0)
On Monday people answer the question "What are you reading?" I hope that you will post. Congrats on the gold medal.
ReplyDeleteOh! Maybe I should start trying that too!
DeleteReading is such a celebration. I find I have to squeeze in reading time these busy days. I do more reading online than I should ... A double win today too!
ReplyDeleteReading online is fun too! :0) It's how I know you!
