family music 151 | When We All Get to Heaven

Starting in the 70s, Dad was the Minister of Music at Lutes Mountain for thirty plus years. After he retired, he continued to play and sing. When Jim became the MOW Director, Dad was a vital part of the team. The ages ranged from 18 to 80 (or whatever age Dad was and I think he may have been 72 when MOW started)

When my parents weren't at Beulah, Dad played. I remember Jim texting me from a practice saying how good it was to have Dad back and how much he brought to the team. His gifts on the organ brought a richness to songs. His knowledge of music brought sweeter chords and more. His humbleness and tenderness for his Savior was a testimony in practices and in services.

I wish we had more recordings from all those Sundays of MOW with Dad over the years.  (I have to say. For a small country church, we had many talented musicians, like Peter, Jamie, Catherine, Brad, Greg, and more. Many from the early MOW days went into full time ministry in churches in other towns.) On the way home from Halifax this past Friday, I noticed some old songs had somehow fed into the music on my phone from the computer. We listened and reminisced. As you play the video, listen for the organ.
