Persistence. You keep going.

Flexibility. You try something else.

Resiliency. You bounce back.

Optimism. It’s going to be okay! 

They are words our kindergarteners are learning, and I think of Annie tonight. 

Recruited as an outside hitter, Annie has a shoulder that hasn’t been the same since 18. 

Since first year, she has stepped in to start in different positions wherever needed, and has worked hard.

This year she is a starting lib. Recently she played with a sprained ankle in the AUS League Tournament at Acadia University.

I am thankful that Annie is persistent, flexible, resilient and optimistic.
