A Mindset for Learning: Teaching the Traits of Joyful, Independent Growth, by Kristine Mraz and Christine Hertz, is one of my favorite books. If you ask my students about brain growers, they will be able to tell you about optimism, empathy, persistence, resiliency and flexibility! They can share wonderful stories and how they are growing. When mistakes happen and problems arise, they are learning how to pause and find solutions. It's exciting to hear them using and living the words! We have been learning so much together!
