Slice of Life | Little Moments in Grade 1

As we finished up our math workshop...

A: I love you.

Me: I love you too.

A: No, I'm "in love" with you.

Overheard in the coat room by Mrs. Durette...

L: Ask Mrs. Durette. She knows everything.

J (following behind him): Only the Lord knows everything.

I love being in grade 1.

  1. First graders speak with purity from the heart. Keep catching their words, because they can lift a spirit when days don't go as planned.

  3. In my early years of teaching I taught first grade, & one of the boys was devastated when he discovered I was married. First grade is the best! Love your story, Loralee!

  4. What sweet little snippets of conversations. I try to capture my girls words too! So sweet! And J is right: Only the Lord knows everything!
